Rene Karabash (Irena Ivanova) lives actively between literature, cinema and theater. Between the city and the village. Between others and yourself. Rene is the founder and teacher of creative writing at the “Zaeshka Dupka” writer’s academy, which brings together some of our greatest writers, screenwriters and playwrights in Bulgaria.
For her role in the film “GODLESS” directed by Ralitsa Petrova, she received a number of prestigious film awards for best actress: “SILVER LEOPARD” (Locarno), “THE HEART OF SARAJEVO” (Sarajevo), “ALUMINUM HORSE” (Stockholm), “GOLDEN ROSE” (Varna), Nomination for Best Actress by the Bulgarian Film Academy.

Abstract
René surprises us with something unconventional and extravagant, engaging us with the human search for true love in life. This book is difficult to label or to assign to a particular genre. This is a book-letter. Epistolary poetry in prose. A book – an attempt to blur the boundaries between the beloved and God, between the beloved and oneself. A book about those who see in the dark. A man named Omar writes and sends letters to his future wife, whom he has not yet met and whom he does not know. He doesn’t know when and where she will appear in his life, he doesn’t know what she looks like or if she was born at all. So where exactly does he send these letters? Does anyone get them? Will he get an answer from her? These are questions that lose their meaning, sinking into the depths that René plunges us into, and we imperceptibly begin to become Omar.
