Elvira Sastre Sanz is a Spanish poet, writer, philologist, and literary translator. She began writing very young: first poem at age 12, started her blog Relocos y recuerdos at 15.
She studied English Studies at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and later Translation as well.
Her publications include Cuarenta y tres maneras de soltarse el pelo, Baluarte, La soledad de un cuerpo acostumbrado a la herida, Aquella orilla nuestra, and her first novel DÃas sin ti. As a translator, she has translated works by authors like Rupi Kaur, Gordon E. McNeer, John Corey Whaley, and others.
Her poetic style combines clarity, emotional honesty, a voice especially resonant with younger readers, and she is often praised for bringing together poetry and life, for being accessible but substantial.
