Oscar Wilde was an Irish play writer, novelist and poet who was born in Dublin.He was the second child of a well-known ophthalmic surgeon father and a poet mother Wilde has been home-schooled .He continued his education in TrinityCollege.He won an award which was important for lots of students and a scholarship from Oxford university.After he graduated from Oxford he married with Constance Lloyd whose
father was the counsellor of the Queen of England.Thanks to the Actor Charles Brookfield
Wilde’s relationships with criminals of London started the appear on the press.Then he was
sentenced to two years of hard labor.After his release from prison he spent the last years of
his life penniless in fusty hotel rooms.Eventually on November 30 ,1900, he was found dead in
a motel room in France.

Abstract
Dorian Gray, a young and beautiful boy, accepts
the offer of Basil Hallward, who wants to paint his painting. He meets Lord Henry during his
visits to Basil’s house so that he can paint his picture. Lord Henry is more or less a bad person.
After meeting these two, they start to meet frequently and attend invitations and parties.
Although Basil is uncomfortable with this situation, he cannot complain. When the painting is finished, Basil presents it to Dorian at Lord Henry’s urging. When Dorian sees the painting, he wishes that the old age and ugliness that the years would bring him would be imprisoned in
this painting, and that he would always remain young and beautiful.After a while, Dorian gets
engaged to the woman he loves. However, under the influence of Lord Henry, he tells her that
he hates her and wants to leave. Sibyl, unable to stand it, commits suicide. Dorian goes
through a very distressing process, and it is precisely at this time that he realizes that his
wish has come true. Knowing that the years could not harm him, he signed all the evils
imaginable with Lord Henry and committed various sins. Even if Basil tries to warn Dorian, it’s
no use. Dorian gets angry and stabs Basil. When a short time passes and nothing tastes good
anymore, he takes the gun with which he killed Basil and smashes his own painting with my
feelings. As Dorian shatters the painting, he falls to the ground. Now, the trace of years is
clearly visible on his face.
