Zülfü Livaneli who is a Turkish musician, author, poet and politician was born on the twentieth of
June in 1946.He has three siblings and he is currently married with Ulker Livaneli. After he had
finished primary school he had started his music life with the instrument baglama. Then he had
continued his education in his grandparents house due to his father’s demand.He has graduated from the Ankara Maarif College. He was imprisoned several times during the 1971 Turkish military memorandum because of his political views and had to leave Turkey in 1972 and went on exile.

Abstract
The novel starts with an assistant at Istanbul University,Maya Duran who is on duty to host Professor Maximilian Wagner for a couple of days.During the hosting she starts find out the secrets about the professor and also starts to learn the story behind his exhausted looking.She charges her son to do the research about the ship Struma and all the other stuff which she needs to learn about professor.Throughout the visiting professor wants to go to a lot of different places to refresh his memories about Istanbul. In one of the places they visit,their car breaks down because of a bad weather in that distinct and they decide to stay in a motel.During their overnight stay Maya and Professor
were misunderstood by the driver.
