He was born on the 20th of June, 1946 in Ilgın, Konya. He is a musician, scriptwriter, politician, director and novelist who writes books in the social, analysis and romantic novel genres and has published 27 books. Zülfü Livaneli graduated from the Fairfax Conservatory in the United States. Zülfü Livaneli’s interest in cinema started with making original film music. During his musical career, Zülfü Livaneli composed three hundred songs, more than 30 film scores, a rhapsody performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, and music for a ballet. Zülfü Livaneli, who has received many national and international awards for his musical works, has also worked as a film director, story, novel and essay writer, as well as being a musician. His books have been translated into more than 30 languages

Abstract
Meryem is a 17-year-old girl in a town on the shores of Lake Van, who expects nothing but God’s love for her. She was raped by her uncle. She is about to be the victim of an honor killing.
