Abstract
Yolanda Castaño affirms that with this work, she seeks to “question” the concept of family, “contribute to the debate” but “always from the point of view of love”.
Legacies, relationships and even family projections: hence the “matter” of which we are made. Both in its liquid state, capable of moistening the roots of our ancestors, and in the solidity that shapes us today.
In this great poetic proposal, the author deals with everything from historical memory to the chiaroscuros of the renunciation of motherhood, in which each state of matter is expressed in its own tone.
Yolanda Castaño’s poems enter decisively into matter, they do not dissimulate, they do not pass by, barely suspended in an echo.
The poet flees from patterns and comfortable verses, she does not conform to a scheme or a determined structure, she gives another turn of the crank, she makes another diction sound.
