Orhan Pamuk was born in Istanbul in 1952. After
graduating from Robert College, he studied journalism. He has written numerous
novels that are significant to Turkish literature and have received many prestigious
awards. In 2006, he was honored with the Nobel Prize in Literature. Additionally, he
established The Museum of Innocence, inspired by one of his most well-known books
of the same name. In 2014, the museum was named the best museum in Europe.

Abstract
Kemal was a wealthy man preparing for his wedding when he unexpectedly met Füsun, an elegant woman and a distant relative. They fell in love and frequently met in secret before Kemal’s marriage. However, after he got married,
Füsun left, devastated by his betrayal. Unable to cope with her absence, Kemal
searched all over Istanbul for her. When he finally found her, she was already
married. Despite his unwavering love for her, they were never able to find happiness
together in the end.
