Abstract

Ahmed Arif’s poems symbolize the love of the country and the people, the pure love that can be experienced in every corner of Anatolia, the poverty and the rebellious spirit against this poverty, both for the poet’s own generation and for the 68-78 generations after him. We see these timeless lines of his as a red carnation for the struggling generations of the past, present and future.
