Sabahattin Ali was born in Bulgaria. He is known as a Turkish writer, poet, and teacher. Although he began his literary career with poetry, he gained wider recognition with his novels and short stories. His most notable works include “The Devil Within Us”, “Madonna in a Fur Coat,” and “Crystal Palace.” Ali faced difficulties due to his political views and was exiled at times. His life ended tragically with his death on April 2, 1948, at the age of 41.
