Franz Kafka was born in Prague on July 3 in 1883 as the first child of a middle-class Jewish family. Kafka, who wasn’t well-known throughout his life,requested his writings to be destroyed in his will to his close friend Max Brod. However,after Kafka’s death Brod began to publish Kafka’s work. Kafka became a world-famous writer, albeit posthumously.

Abstract

Milena is a married woman who is pretty
fluent in Czech language. By chance he met Kafka in Prague and their friendship began. Even though their communication was only for a translation work at the beginning, it turned into
a passionate love as a result of long corresponds.
The only thing they had in common was their disease, tuberculosis. Kafka knew that Milena
was married but he tagged along this love to nowhere and they continued to correspond
every day. Milena became the reason of Kafka’s living.
Letters to Milena, the product of Kafka’s passionate love is also a confession of Kafka who wrapped in despair, fear and anxiety.
