Alejandra Martínez de Miguel (Madrid, 1994) is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist: actress, poet, and psychologist. She studied Dramatic Arts at the Cristina Rota school and Psychology at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She also has training in sexology, which informs much of her work.
Her rise to public attention came through Poetry Slam: she won the Poetry Slam Madrid in 2017 and was runner‑up in the National Poetry Slam in 2018. She publishes collections including Báilatelo sola (2019) and Al cuerpo de una mujer (2023), works in which she explores themes of body, desire, female experience, identity, and healing.

Abstract
“Una poesía para cada año de tu vida” is a poetic anthology and life-journey by Alejandra Martínez de Miguel that maps human existence through selected poems, one for each year from childhood into old age. Divided into six life stages — “Encuentro” (6‑20 years), “Decisión” (21‑35), “Movimiento” (36‑50), “Siembra” (51‑65), “Observación” (66‑80), and “Aquí florece” (81‑90) — the book pairs each stage with reflections that are both autobiographical and philosophical. Through these poems, the author weaves together voices from across time and language — classics and contemporaries — to explore identity, growth, memory, loss, love, and change. The anthology invites readers not only to observe the passing of years, but to understand how poetry can illuminate what often remains unseen: inner transformations, the passage of time, the universality of feeling. Martínez de Miguel frames this curatorial work as an invitation to reading deeply, connecting “what is personal” to “what is universal.”
