Abstract

“Days Without You” by Elvira Sastre is a poetic novel that explores love, loss, and healing through the intertwined stories of a young woman and her grandfather. The narrative alternates between their voices—one reflecting on a passionate relationship that ends in heartbreak, the other on a lifetime of wisdom and resilience. Through lyrical prose, Sastre examines the beauty and pain of loving deeply, the strength found in vulnerability, and the transformative power of time. The book is a tender meditation on how absence shapes us, reminding readers that even in loss, love endures.
