Abstract

Every Thursday, Caterina visits Aurelio in Rebibbia prison. Both from the outskirts of Rome, they had dreamed of running a nightclub. But things went differently: Caterina, a former classical dancer, works as a stripper in Aurelio’s club. Now he’s in prison, convinced he’s been framed. How would he react if he knew that, once out, his girlfriend sleeps with the cop who arrested him? A tough novel, full of twists, set in a much larger and unknown Rome than one might imagine. Claudia Durastanti vividly captures the reality of the urban outskirts, the true place where stories are born, and tells of those who, despite disappointments and broken dreams, continue to live and love
