Abstract

This is the story of the person Gunchev, Orlovsky, Yastrebovsky, Sokolinov, currently Burevestnikov – a small-time swindler, whose luck and will always fail him a moment before the Great Strike ends, or a brilliant entrepreneur forced by historical chance to fight the windmills of the socialist system. His theatrical and business incarnations always begin with aplomb and end with a promise of marriage, because for all his shortcomings, our hero has one great virtue: he understands women and feels great in their company. Originally created as a screenplay and gaining the status of a film classic with the unforgettable performance of Todor Kolev in the lead role, despite its small size, “Dangerous Charm” by Svoboda Bachvarova is one of the significant Bulgarian novels of the 1980s. The movie was released in 1984 and won several prizes including
THE GRAND PRIZE OF THE MF of the Television Films “Teleconfronto’85”, (Italy 1985).
The Special Prize of the Comedy Film Festival, (France 1988).
