Abstract

Oliver Twist was given his name by the orphanage’s principal, where he was born.At the age of eleven he was adopted by Mr. Sowerberry who works in funeral services.But Oliver feels unhappy and escapes from there.After an exhausting journey he comes to London.Oliver, who is starving, meets with Jack Dawkins.Jack helps Oliver and takes him to his place.Oliver meets Fagin and his friends there and without understanding he founds himself surrounded by thieves.One day while Dawkins commits a theft, Oliver panics and flees.Upon noticing that his handkerchief has stolen, Brownlow suspects Oliver and catches him.Oliver tells his whole story to him.Later he gives Oliver a task in order to determine whether or not he is sincere.While Oliver goes to do the task, he is kidnapped by Fagin’s friends.Fagin is aware that forcing Oliver to commit a crime is the only way to totally control him.Because of that he wants Oliver to participate one of the robbery.The night of the robbery Oliver gets shot by the servant.While others flee the servant phones the landlord.He does his best to assist Oliver.After an investigation he finds out Oliver comes from a noble family and has a substantial legacy.
