Abstract
This selection features the lyrics of 197 Sezen songs written by the artist between 1975 and 2006. Presenting these songs in a cohesive book format, the song writer aims to offer a experience for memories of 3-4 generations in Turkey. Sharing the poetic essence carried by the artist’s lyrics, she wants to present them to readers in their original form on paper, before they transform into music. ‘Eksik Şiir’ is a book about love, passion, our desires, our relinquishments, and our perpetual renewal of hope. It illustrates how fragile it is to be human, yet proves that, despite everything, we have
the strength to heal our wounds and stand tall.
