Stefanos Alexiadis was born on 18 October 1993 in Thessaloniki where he lives. He studied Greek Literature at the Democritus University of Thrace and is currently completing his Master’s degree in Special Education and Problems of Written and Oral Language at the Hellenic Open University. He is also studying Pedagogy at the International University of Greece and has been trained in the Braille reading and writing system. Winged Sandals is the first attempt of publishing and aims at the acceptance of diversity.

Abstract
It is about a child in a wheelchair and the difficulties he experiences in the school environment, both in terms of accessibility and communication with other children. The essence of the book is about accepting diversity, inclusion and compassion. Issues such as isolation due to diversity and how a child who has suffered isolation embraces all his classmates with love and understanding. In the end, the roles of the children are reversed and one is in the place of the other, but the treatment is different.
